An irregular shaped corner lot, and the existing three-story building was many things in its former life including an ice cream factory and more recently just walls for graffiti. Our third built project with this client, and the challenge was to keep the building but enlarge and convert it to include twenty-three residential apartments, parking, and one street level retail space. An exposed concrete structure binds new to old on the interior, and an homage to graffiti renews the original facade.
